Compress images in your browser, choose quality and format, and compare before/after size. The file is not sent to a server.
How browser image compression works
The tool loads the image locally, redraws it on a Canvas, and exports it as JPG, PNG, or WebP at the quality you choose. WebP or JPG usually produce smaller files than PNG.
Note: browser PNG compression is limited, so PNG output may not always become much smaller.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Processing runs only in your browser.
Which format is best for compression?
WebP usually gives a strong quality-to-size ratio. JPG works well for photos. PNG is better for logos/transparency but may not shrink much.
Why can the new file be larger?
Using a less efficient format or very high quality can increase size. Try WebP or a lower quality setting.
